Back in October, I related a conversation with networking startup Affirmed Networks, which specializes in a technology called variously “software-defined networking,” or SDN, and “network function virtualization,” or NFV that has been invading whole switching systems inside telecom networks.
Last week, at the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, I was fortunate to meet up with Affirmed’s CEO, Hassan Ahmed, at the show, where his company for the first time had obtained a booth on the show floor, rather than hanging out in one of the smaller conference rooms.
