We are proud to share that Affirmed Networks’ Chairman and CEO, Hassan Ahmed, was honored by Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) as one of the “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2015” at the investment giant’s “Builders and Innovators Summit” taking place in Santa Clara, CA this week.
While we as a company are constantly amazed by Hassan’s talent and vision, it’s an incredible honor to be recognized externally by such a respected organization as Goldman Sachs. Over his career, Hassan truly has established an incredible body of work as visionary, entrepreneur and technologist in the telecommunications equipment industry at leading companies like Cascade Communications and Sonus Networks. While we are proud of his many achievements, the entrepreneurship we are most thankful for, however, is Hassan’s vision for creating Affirmed Networks to lead the industry through its next evolution.
Seeing a shift in the way networks would be built, Hassan created a company focused on helping mobile operators to virtualize their networks. Five years later, as a result of Hassan’s vision and talents, Affirmed is leading the industry’s shift toward virtualized architectures. The company currently has 25 customers with leading operators, such as AT&T. Intriguing indeed. Entrepreneurial, absolutely!
Hassan joins an impressive and diverse group of seasoned and emerging business leaders being recognized by Goldman this week. Throughout their 145-year history, Goldman Sachs has been a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs as they launch and grow their businesses. Judging from the talent comprised on year’s “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs, it looks like Goldman has some experience in this department, and knows an entrepreneur and visionary when they see one.
