Affirmed Networks Awarded Leaders Board Partner Twice in a Row as Part of Intel® Network Builders Program

by Amit Tiwari Amit Tiwari No Comments

Good leaders understand the value of teamwork. They know that good ideas can come from individuals, but good solutions come from people. That’s why it means a lot to us to be recognized again for this year’s Intel® Network Builders Winners’ Circle Awards: it validates everything we believe at Affirmed about the importance of leadership.

Intel Network Builders represents a broad ecosystem of solutions vendors, equipment manufacturers, systems integrators, and communications service providers that have come together to build better solutions using Intel’s industry-leading technology. This year, only a few dozen partners were selected for the Intel Network Builders Winners’ Circle, representing an elite corps of Intel partners. Those companies selected for the Winners’ Circle are awarded the status of Partners, Solution Partners, and at the highest level, the Leaders Board.

This year marks Affirmed’s second year in the Leaders’ Board, and it is representative of the collaboration between Affirmed and Intel to bring together the best of both technologies.  Affirmed’s solution runs on Open NFVI environment which uses Intel® Architecture powered by Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, accelerating time to deployment with deterministic behavior and transforming network technology with value-propositions for Communication Service Providers, including top-of-the-line performance, lower cost per bit, better ROI, and as a future proof platform for 5G services.

This year’s award comes at a critical time in our industry, as telco operators and enterprises prepare for the commercial arrival of 5G services. Together with our partners, we’ve helped advance the adoption of Network Functions Virtualization infrastructure (NFVi), move network services to the edge for greater efficiency, and deploy 5G services to real customers. The opportunities for growth and innovation are just beginning, and we’re determined, along with our partners, to build the next generation of solutions that drive growth and innovation.

Being named a member of the Leaders Board means that, together with Intel, Affirmed Networks is making meaningful contributions to the acceleration of network transformations around the world—contributions like building the world’s fastest 5G cloud-native platform. We’ll continue to work with technology visionaries such as Intel, Red Hat, and VMware to ensure that the advances being made in cloud and virtualized architectures can benefit telco operators too.

This is what leadership looks like. It’s about putting your customers first and leaving your ego at the door. Accolades like the Leaders Board validate that what we’re doing is important, but the real validation comes from knowing that we’re not just giving our customers the best that Affirmed has to offer, but the best that Intel, Dell, HPE, Red Hat, VMware, and other leaders have to offer as well. Together, we can do more than transform networks; we can change the world.

Affirmed Networks Named Finalist for “Best Mobile Network Infrastructure” as Part of GLOMO Awards at MWC 2019

Affirmed Networks is pleased to announce they have again been selected as a Finalist for the 2019 Global Mobile Awards 2019 (GLOMO Awards), as part of the official show program at MWC 2019 taking place in Barcelona, February 25-28, 2019.  Marking the third time that Affirmed Networks has been nominated as a finalist in these prestigious awards, the company is once again recognized for its virtualized Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) solution that is deployed in the networks of some of the world’s largest telecom operators.

Affirmed Networks is competing in the category “Best Mobile Network Infrastructure,” which is focused on “the importance of the fundamental elements of the mobile network,” and looks for entries that “demonstrate substantial reductions to the life cycle costs of operating a network.”

Affirmed’s webscale mobile core helps Mobile Network Operators move from inflexible, legacy, hardware-based solutions to a highly automated, agile, software-based solution running on Commercial-off-the-Shelf servers that reduces overall total cost of ownership by as much as 75%.  The industry’s most widely-deployed mobile core(vEPC), Affirmed Networks’ webscale mobile core is currently in the networks of more than 95 CSPs globally, including Tier One operators in each major geography.

The awards are judged by independent experts, analysts, journalists, academics, and, in some cases, mobile operator representatives.  Winners of the awards will be presented throughout MWC19.

“The GLOMOs provide a world stage on which to celebrate the most inspirational and innovative developments across our industry, recognising the companies and individuals leading the way in everything from 5G, to emerging markets, to intelligent connectivity,” said John Hoffman, CEO, GSMA Ltd. “The awards attract a significant level of high-quality entries, so being nominated today is a great achievement. We wish everyone the very best of luck and we look forward to some exciting announcements at MWC19 Barcelona.”

From the entire team at Affirmed Networks we are honored to be named as a Finalist for this important industry award.  Our continued success would not be possible without the support of our customers, and our dedicated and talented team that is focused on helping operators transform their networks as they prepare for 5G.  We would like to congratulate all the other worthy entries and finalists for their role in helping our industry progress to a new era of growth and profitability.

Affirmed Networks Awarded Highest Honor as Part of Intel Network Builders Program

Last year Intel announced the Intel® Network Builders Winners’ Circle—a program for partner companies working to accelerate network transformation using Intel technology to optimize their solutions. Last week at the SDN NFV World Congress event, Intel announced the first finalists of the program at the Intel Network Builders Summit, which coincided with the SDN NFV World Congress event, attracting more than 1700 industry participants, taking place in the event in the Hague, Netherlands.

As part of this first-ever event, Intel evaluated more than 240 projects, for consideration across three award levels: Leaders’ Board, Solution Plus Partner, and Solution Partner.

Of the 64 projects that were awarded a place in the Winners Circle, we are pleased to announce that Affirmed Networks was one of just 20 companies to join the Leaders Board, the program’s highest level.

As a company committed to working with strategic partners like Intel to ensure the highest levels of success and performance for our customers, we are extremely honored to achieve the program’s distinction. As a company, we have continually invested in building the industry’s most complete ecosystem focused on driving performance and accelerating deployments. We would like to congratulate all of the companies that were recognized as part of the Network Builders Program, especially our partners who joined us in the Winner’s Circle, including Canonical, Dell, HPE, Red Hat and VMware.

The goal of the Winners’ Circle is to deliver technical leadership, advance open source standards, and collaborate with end users to drive innovation. Requirements for selection to the Intel Network Builders Winners’ Circle included open source contributions, published benchmarks and deployments to Communication Service Providers (CommSPs).
