Recent performance testing has demonstrated that Affirmed Networks’ vEPC (virtualized Evolved Packet Core) is delivering more than 150 Gbps of throughput on a single Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor-based server. Affirmed, working with Intel technology experts who witnessed the test set up and parameters, organized the tests of its Mobile Core vEPC on servers powered by Intel Xeon Platinum processors and Intel Xeon Gold processors to demonstrate the performance and linear scalability of the vEPC solution in a given test case.

Testing was conducted with real-world deployment call models supporting high bandwidth, consumer edge applications over Affirmed’s latest software release (including CUPS, 5G NR, automated service provisioning, network slicing, and integrated virtual probe capabilities).
