Hassan Ahmed

Chairman and CEO

Prior to starting Affirmed Networks, Hassan worked as a Senior Advisor at Charles River Ventures. Hassan served as Chairman and CEO of Sonus Networks (Nasdaq:SONS) for 10 years growing it from an idea into a publicly traded company focused on enabling the transformation of telephony to IP. Before Sonus, he served as EVP and GM of the Core Switching division of Ascend Communications and VP Engineering and Chief Technology Officer of Cascade Communications. Hassan has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Carleton University and a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. A guest lecturer at MIT, Hassan also serves on the board of many successful technology companies.

Denis Cashman

Denis Cashman

Vice President and CFO

Denis most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dell EMC’s Infrastructure Solutions Group. Prior to the Dell EMC merger, Denis was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of EMC. During his time at EMC he served in numerous financial roles including Chief Accounting Officer, EMC Information Infrastructure Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller and Vice President of International Finance. Denis is a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and has a diploma in Finance from Cork Institute of Technology (CIT).

George Hale

Vice President, Finance and Administration

George most recently served as Director, Finance for the Cisco technology group formed by Cisco’s acquisition of Starent Networks. Previously, he was Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller of Starent Networks, held various Senior Finance positions at Arch Wireless, and was an auditor at Arthur Anderson. George is a certified public accountant and has a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and a Master’s degree in Taxation from Bentley University.

Anand Krishnamurthy

Vice President, Engineering

Anand most recently served as Vice President of Engineering for the macro cellular division at Airvana Network Solutions. Previously, he was a Software Manager at Lucent Technologies and Ascend Communications. Anand has a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Boston University.

Mohammed Shanableh

Vice President, Global Sales and Operations

Prior to Affirmed, Mohammed was responsible for Worldwide Sales and Systems Engineering for carrier customers for Sonus Networks. Previously, Mohammed had responsibility for the OSS Integration/Voice R&D division at Williams Network Services and also held various engineering leadership roles with WorldCom and WilTel where he concentrated on voice/data applications. Mohammed earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Kansas.

Amit Tiwari

Vice President, Strategic Alliances and Systems Engineering

Amit most recently served as Senior Director, Leader Global Mobility Practice at Cisco. Previously, he was Vice President of Solutions Development at Starent Networks and held product management and applications engineering roles at 3Com and US Robotics. Amit has an Honors diploma in Systems Management, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University.

Angela Singhal Whiteford

Vice President, Marketing and Product Management

Angela most recently served as Vice President of Product and Solutions Marketing at Iron Mountain. A telecommunications veteran, she previously served as Marketing Director at Starent Networks, Director of Nortel’s Municipal Wireless Solutions and worked in Nortel’s Chief Technology Office in Asia, providing next generation wireless networks to emerging markets. Angela holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Business and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University.
